Ryan Phillippe still has not confirmed whether he's the father of ex-girlfriend Alexis Knapp's new baby girl. But, according to the birth certificate, the baby has been given the 36-year-old's last name.
However, some mystery still remains regarding the father of Kailani Merizalde Phillippe Knapp, who was born on July 1. It seems Knapp left blank the section of the certificate that officially lists the baby's father.
Hmm.
We know that Reese Witherspoon's ex was at Knapp's side when she delivered the little girl at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. And now that the baby is bearing the Phillippe name, we would expect to hear some sort of announcement from the actor's camp. But nothing's official, yet.
According to Phillippe's reps, a DNA test was to be performed to determine paternity after the baby was born. Back in March, a source said, "Ryan is aware of the situation (and) totally prepared to take responsibility should the child be his."
If it does turn out that Phillippe is the dad, this would be his third child. He's already the father to Ava, 11, and Deacon, 7, from his marriage to Witherspoon.
