Bikini Babe Audrina Patridge's Wet Republic Birthday Bash

Showing up for a belated birthday bash in her honor, Audrina Patridge was the picture of perfection at the Wet Republic pool in Las Vegas on Saturday afternoon (May 14).

The former "Hills" hottie stripped down to a multi-colored bikini as she and a group of friends hit up the MGM Grand locale to celebrate her 26th birthday (which was actually on May 9).

Also in attendance at the poolside soiree was Audrina's BMX star beau Corey Bohan, as the pair just recently rekindled their romance after a nasty split back in March during which Bohan tweeted that Patridge was "heartless" and "insecure".

Nonetheless, the twosome looked lovey-dovey at the Wet Republic soiree while cozying up for pictures, with Miss Patridge being presented a fancy birthday cake as cameras captured all of the happenings.

Once finished up with the birthday fete, Audrina tweeted her thanks to those who made it happen, as she wrote, "Thanks @alexcordova for everything today @wetrepublic"

Matthew Perry Heads Back to Rehab

Matthew Perry Heads Back to Rehab

Matthew Perry is going back to rehab as part of his ongoing recovery. And the Friends star, who battled addictions to prescription medication and alcohol in the past, is putting his plans out there for all to hear.

"I'm making plans to go away for a month to focus on my sobriety and to continue my life in recovery," Perry, 41, said in a statement. "Please enjoy making fun of me on the World Wide Web."

Perry, who most recently appeared in Mr. Sunshine, spent time in a treatment facility in both 1997 and 2001. He became addicted to Vicodin after a jet skiing accident and later confessed to taking 20 to 30 pills a day before his initial 28-day stay at Hazelden Foundation rehabilitation center in 1997. In 2000 he was hospitalized for pancreatitis due to excessive alcohol consumption, which led to a second stint.

According to a source close to the actor, Perry's decision to return to rehab is simply precautionary. "There was no relapse," the pal says.

Michael Jackson Doctor Conrad Murray's Trial To Be Televised

Judge rules that camera will be allowed in the courtroom for manslaughter case.

For what promises to be one of the most bizarre and riveting legal proceedings in years, a Los Angeles judge ruled on Monday that a television camera will be allowed in the courtroom when Michael Jackson's doctor goes on trial for involuntary manslaughter.

Reuters reported that Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Michael Pastor, approved the presence of a camera in the trial of Dr. Conrad Murray as long as it does not interfere with the proceedings in the closely watched case.

The judge asked for the "absolute least-intrusive placement" of a TV camera in the courtroom, but blocked cameras from documenting jury selection.

Pastor also announced that he would bump up the opening date of the trail by four days to March 24, at which point jury selection will begin. Murray, who faces up to four years in prison if convicted, has pleaded not guilty to the charges, and the trial is expected to last around six weeks.

Cardiologist Murray was hired to be Jackson's personal physician in the run-up to the King of Pop's planned 50-date comeback series of shows at London's O2 arena in the summer of 2009. The doctor told police that he provided Jackson, 50, with sedatives and the surgical anesthetic propofol in order to combat the singer's chronic insomnia. He said he did so on the morning of June 25, 2009, when Jackson died of what a coroner deemed acute propofol poisoning.

TMZ reported on Tuesday (February 8) that Murray's lawyers plan to argue that Jackson was already in weak health before he died and that it's unfair to blame propofol for his passing. Unnamed sources close to the case told the gossip site that at the time of his death, Jackson's body was already failing him in part because concert promoter AEG Live had "driven [him] over the edge" with a rigorous rehearsal schedule for the shows.

Murray's lawyers reportedly plan to call witnesses to say that Jackson was not showing up for rehearsals and when he did he showed "clear signs" of frail health. They also reportedly plan to argue that it was Jackson who administered the final, fatal dose of propofol to himself while Murray was out of the room.

Bethenny Frankel on $100 Million Lawsuit: "I'm Not Going to Be Bullied"

Bethenny Frankel on $100 Million Lawsuit: "I'm Not Going to Be Bullied"

Bethenny Frankel may be a Skinnygirl, but she doesn't break easily.

The entrepreneur and reality star has made it clear that she's not intimidated by the $100 million lawsuit filed against her on Wednesday by her ex-managers. Speaking to the press on Thursday, the Bethenny Ever After star said that even though her family comes first, she fully intends to defend her Skinnygirl brand in court.

"Let's be clear, I am a strong woman, and I am not afraid and won't back down when I'm bullied by something with zero merit," Frankel told People. "Success is earned by hard work, not taking advantage of others."

The lawsuit, filed by her former management agency Raw Talent, alleges that Frankel used her relationship with them to broker a lucrative deal for her Skinnygirl cocktail brand -- and then cut them out of their share of the profits. Now that Frankel's company has been sold for an estimated $120 million, Raw Talent is retroactively demanding 10 percent of the sale, as well as $100 million in punitive damages. But Frankel says that she had no agreement with Raw Talent regarding the Skinnygirl brand.

"This is simply someone with his hand out, who did nothing to earn it, and I am not going to be bullied," Frankel said in a statement. "We are exploring all of our options, including filing counterclaims against these people."

Savvy businesswoman that she is, Frankel doesn't seem too surprised by her ex-manager coming out of the woodwork to sue her. "Unfortunately, one of the signs of success is being the subject of frivolous lawsuits, like this one," she says matter-of-factly.

Frankel's latest season of Bethenny Ever After concluded this week, and next season is rumored to be about Frankel's move to the West Coast, with the reported title Bethenny Goes to L.A.. May we suggest the alternate title Bethenny Doesn't Take Any Crap?

Penelope Cruz's Secret to Losing the Baby Weight? Dancing!

Penelope Cruz's Secret to Losing the Baby Weight? Dancing!

Brand-new mom Penélope Cruz lost no time getting back to her fabulous pre-baby figure, but not by working with a trainer or hitting the gym. So how'd she do it? The secret, Cruz tells U.K. newspaper the Daily Mirror, is that she returned to her ballet roots -- and danced four hours a day!

Cruz, who started as a ballerina before committing to acting (and who got to show off her dancing skills in the recent Nine), says, "I love ballet and I love dancing, and it's a little boring for me to go to the gym because I'm used to the dancing discipline -- it's really hard but much more fun."

Cruz and husband Javier Bardem welcomed a son, reportedly named Leo (they won't confirm or deny the moniker) in January. The couple currently splits their time between Los Angeles and Spain and, because of that, Cruz also credits a healthy Spanish diet with keeping her weight under control. "I love Spanish food. My diet is the Mediterranean diet, which is good food. I eat well but I try to eat healthily." That said, she's not opposed to a little fast food every now and again, admitting to biweekly In-N-Out burger runs. "I do it, like, once a week or once every two weeks," she says. "It's my little treat for myself. I love the Double-Double with fries."

Although Cruz told the Daily Mirror that since the birth of her son "working as hard as I did is not for me any more," she still has a couple of hotly anticipated films in the pipeline, including Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides. The film, which screens at Cannes this week and opens in the U.S. on May 20, stars the great Johnny Depp, reprising his role (yet again) as Captain Jack Sparrow. Cruz and Depp had worked together 10 years ago, in Blow, and Cruz jokes, "When I first came to America I only knew two phrases in English. One was, 'How are you?' and the other was, 'I want to work with Johnny Depp.' Then after I worked with him on Blow, I learned how to say, 'I want to work with Johnny Depp again!' He's very addictive and he just gets better and better over the years."

The friendship between Cruz and Deep seems to have added a lot of levity to the Pirates shoot, with Cruz teaching Depp "the raunchiest Spanish," and Depp returning the favor by ambushing his costar with a remote-control "fart machine."

Cruz was pregnant during much of the grueling shoot of On Stranger Tides, and she said she informed the crew of her condition immediately: "They were very caring. It was funny to be dressed as a tough pirate but being treated with delicacy by everybody. I had to learn to sword fight, too. I'd trained for two months before we started shooting."

Happy at home with husband Bardem and baby son, Cruz's dancer's discipline has helped her bounce back physically from the pregnancy, and she seems ready to face whatever the next challenge may be! (Fingers crossed it'll be a guest spot on Glee!)

Ke$ha Touched By Fan's Tattoo

Singer tells MTV News about gay fan inspired by her song 'Animal.'
By Gil Kaufman

Ke$ha
Photo: MTV News

Ke$ha knows all about the perks of being a headliner. On her Get $leazy Tour, the singer gets to call all the shots, blast her fans in the face with tons of glitter and handpick which dudes she wants to party and share the stage with.

But it's not all backstage shenanigans and groupie love. When MTV News sat down with the "Blow" singer in New York earlier this week before her gig at Roseland Ballroom, Ke$ha said that amid the nightly onstage parties there have also been some poignant moments on her first headlining outing.

"Best moment? There are so many. Every night's amazing. I have kids outside right now chanting my name and it's awesome," she said of the first leg of the tour. "There was one night a fan came onstage, I invited him onstage, and he had a tattoo of the dollar sign. I was like, 'Oh, that's awesome! Badass. You're part of the cult, man.' "

And then, she said, he began to cry and explained that he was able to come out of the closet to his friends and family thanks to her song "Animal."

"And I'm standing onstage about to sing a song about growing back a pair of testicles ["Grow a Pear"] and I had tears rolling down my face and chills all over my body," she said. "Because that's really the reason I do music, to inspire people to be themselves."

Ke$ha has been a vocal supporter of the "It Gets Better" video project, which aims to help gay, bisexual and transgender youth find hope in the face of teasing and bullying.

The "Get $leazy" juggernaut continues on Saturday night with a show at Clarion University in Clarion, Pennsylvania.

Are you planning to see Ke$ha on her Get $leazy Tour? Tell us in the comments.

Producer Cardiak Talks '600 Benz'

'When I produced the track, I was actually thinking of Meek Mill,' Cardiak tells Mixtape Daily.

Behind the Beats: Cardiak

In the grand scheme of things, Cardiak is new to the game. But the Willingboro, New Jersey, rap producer has already amassed some major hits. After making his biggest splash on Lloyd Banks' 2010 Kanye/ Swizz Beatz/ Fabolous collab cut "Start It Up," Cardiak has gone on to land beats with 50 Cent, Fab and Red Cafe. Mixtape Daily caught up with the N.J. boardsman on the set of Maybach Music Group's "600 Benz," another track that he crafted.

"When I produced the track, I was actually thinking of Meek Mill," Cardiak said of "600 Benz." "He had first got signed to Maybach Music, so I was like, this would be the perfect track for him and Rick Ross to hop on. So I had sent the beat to Spiff and Spiff hit me back like, 'Yo, Wale and Ross did the joint.' "

Not only did Cardiak land a single off of MMG's upcoming compilation Self Made, he also produced the cut "Rise," which features Pill, Wale, CyHi da Prynce, Curren$y and singer Teedra Moses. "That track is more like a mellow track, 'Maybach Music' type of feel," he said. "It's not like the trap sound, it's not like '600 Benz.' It's something totally different."

With all that he has accomplished for the young beat maker, it seems that the best is yet to come. He has since worked with 50 Cent, giving the G-Unit general the beat for his 2011 Internet freestyle "6 out of 6 (Get Gully)" and hints at an upcoming Fif single tentatively titled "Outlaw."

In the meantime, fans can enjoy Cardiak's production on Fabolous' The Soul Tape ("Y'all Don't Hear Me Tho") and Red Cafe's Above the Cloudz ("We Get It On," featuring Omarion).

He got that work.

Robert Plant And Alison Krauss Win Grammy Album Of The Year

Raising Sand, from Led Zeppelin vet and bluegrass superstar, wins five Grammys on Sunday night.
By James Montgomery with MTV News staff

Alison Krauss and Robert Plant accept the award for Album of the Year at the Grammy Awards on Sunday

"I'm bewildered," Robert Plant said onstage as he accepted the Grammy Album of the Year award with Alison Krauss on Sunday night. "In the old days we would have called this selling out, but it's a good way to spend a Sunday."

He was probably one of the few who were surprised, because Raising Sand, which won five trophies at Sunday night's show, is in many ways the perfect Grammy album. It features two respected veterans, a critically lauded producer, some sandpaper-and-velvet vocals and a baker's dozen of time-tested standards.

You're probably familiar with Robert Plant from his Led Zeppelin days, and you might be aware of producer T-Bone Burnett's work on the "O Brother, Where Art Thou?" soundtrack (it won the Grammy for Album of the Year in 2002). And if you don't know who Alison Krauss is, she possesses a haunting set of pipes and is one of the meanest fiddle players in the world. Oh, and she's won 21 Grammys, more than any other female artist and the seventh-most in history.

Really, she's the key to Sand's success, and not just because of her voice (or her fiddle playing). She and Plant first met in 2004, at a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame tribute to legendary bluesman Leadbelly, and the former Zeppelin man was amazed by her knowledge of American Roots music — so much so that they began kicking around the idea of recording an album together. Three years later, Sand was released.

And while Plant possesses the more famous voice, the album's finest moments radiate from Krauss. Whether she's getting bluesy on Little Milton's "Let Your Loss Be Your Lesson" or entwining with Plant's husky voice on songs like "Please Read the Letter" and Roly Salley's winsome "Killing the Blues," she more than carries her end of the bargain.

And perhaps that's also due to producer Burnett, who handpicked the 13 songs the duo cover on Sand. His arrangements are sparse — giving the two voices ample room to breathe — yet dense, warm and crackling at the same time. It's a testament to his work that he's often given just as much billing as Plant and Krauss on the project ... and it's certainly justified.

To date, Sand has sold more than 1 million copies, heaped tons of acclaim and actually earned a Grammy last year — "Gone Gone Gone (Done Moved On)" took home the award for Best Pop Collaboration With Vocals.

One expert was surprised not by the album's success, but by the fact that it's actually quite a good album.

"At first, the album seemed like a vanity project. ... Two names, clearly a one-off record, didn't have to be any good, you know?" New York Times music critic Jon Caramanica said. "Led Zeppelin fans would buy it because of Robert Plant, Alison Krauss would get a check. But it actually turned out to be a really thoughtful, really good record. So when you combine all that with the fact that the Grammys love to lionize one of their own, I could really see it taking home some awards."

What Is Lady Gaga Like? 'Judas' Co-Stars Weigh In!

'Gaga's a super cool girl from New York,' Norman Reedus tells MTV News.
By Jocelyn Vena, with additional reporting by Matt Elias

Lady Gaga
Photo: Victor Chavez/ WireImage

Lady Gaga is many things to many people. She's a pop star, a fashionista and a voice for those who feel they can't speak for themselves. In her video for "Judas," she took on a new role: Mary Magdalene. MTV News caught up with both Judas (Norman Reedus) and Jesus (Rick Gonzalez) from the clip, and they shared what Gaga is really like to work with.

"Gaga's a super cool girl from New York," Reedus said. "She's religious; she does prayers. We have some mutual friends, I think. She says prayers with her people before she goes out onstage, I've heard, and she's very much a group player. And she's not weird at all. She's actually an artist who believes in what she's doing and really takes the bull by the horns and is not afraid to say what she wants to say."

His "Judas" co-star, Gonzalez, said that a lot of her coolness is reflected in her partnership with creative director Laurieann Gibson. "When I first met [Gaga], she was very passionate and very driven. I was really impressed and found a newfound respect for her, because she's such a hardworking woman and so dedicated and very creative," Gonzalez said. "And her, with Laurieann, they make such a great team together.

"I think you're going to see a lot more amazing things with them, 'cause they totally have this synergy," he continued. "And I've overheard them say it: They're totally going to do a lot more things together. So I'm excited to see what that's stuff going to be. ... It's really impressive."

While a lot of the time Gaga seems to offend someone with what she's doing, Reedus said that's not her intention.

"She's cool enough where she's just not trying to offend people to offend people. I mean, who does that? She's actually super talented and she's a machine," Reedus said. "That girl works really, really hard. ... I felt sort of lazy around her. It was kind of inspiring."

What's your impression of Gaga? Let us know in the comments!

Cannes Fest Kicks Off With 'Boots' Stars Antonio Banderas, Salma Hayek

Stars appear at French festival to promote 'Shrek' spin-off 'Puss in Boots.'
By Christina Garibaldi, with reporting by Josh Horowitz

The 64th annual Cannes Film Festival kicked off on Wednesday (May 11), and the French town has been completely transformed into every movie lover's dream. Amidst the high-end clothing stores and the decadent food, the streets are now flooded with never-before-seen movie posters, red-carpet events and, of course, the biggest stars in Hollywood.

The action kicks off each year with a star-studded event, and this year that event featured the DreamWorks animated adventure "Puss in Boots." The red-carpet affair took place along a pier at Carlton Beach on the Mediterranean.

The stars of the "Shrek" spin-off, Antonio Banderas and Salma Hayek, were on hand for the photo call, but before they took center stage, a flurry of flamenco dancers sauntered their way down the red carpet, setting the tone for the high-energy event.

Banderas and Hayek, who wore a fun, flamboyant burnt-orange Gucci dress with matching floral sleeves, worked the photographers before making their way to the end of the carpet. The two stars then climbed high above the French Riviera into a giant pair of boots, waving to a crowd of onlookers.

"Big boots make me nervous!" Banderas said of the stunt.

"It was a little strange," Hayek added. "But I'm just happy I don't have vertigo."

Yet Hayek was thrilled to be able to kick off the festival in such a fun and original way. "I do appreciate the imagination and creativity; we are in the business of imagination and creating something new." Hayek said. "It's a fun movie, a movie to entertain people, to make them feel good, to take them to a place they haven't been, so it's the right way to present it."

In "Puss in Boots," Banderas reprises his role from the last three "Shrek" films, while Hayek is a new addition to the cast, playing Puss' love interest, Kitty Softpaws. The film is scheduled to be released later this year.

Keep checking back with MTVNews.com all week for everything from the 2011 Cannes Film Festival.

Ever since they were first announced, the O Music Awards have proudly proclaimed themselves the untraditional alternative to the staid world of red carpets, acceptance speeches and celebrity glad-handing.

And for further proof of that point, consider the following: Though the inaugural O Music Awards won't premiere until April 28, the first award will be handed out on Monday at 4 p.m. ET ... and it's a big one.

For weeks, fans have been voting for the Most Innovative Music Video through the O Music Awards official site, and on Monday — in a roundtable debate moderated by MTV News' James Montgomery — a winner will be crowned.

The O Music Awards Debate for the Most Innovative Music Video, presented by FUZE®, will stream live on OMusicAwards.com and MTV.com. Joining Montgomery around the table will be acclaimed video director Wayne Isham, Mashable's Brenna Ehrlich and some super-secret celebrity guests.

The Black Eyed Peas, Ke$ha, My Chemical Romance and more will also take part in the discussion about just what makes a video truly innovative, and the folks who are nominated for the award — a list that includes Arcade Fire, Robyn, OK Go and Andy Grammer — will also Skype in to make the case for why their video deserves to be named Most Innovative.

On Monday morning, the original list of 10 nominees will be whittled down to the top five vote-getters, and then, during the debate, our roundtable and the Internet audience will cut that list down to the final three. At the very end, we'll announce the winner of the very first O Music Award for Most Innovative Video.

The inaugural O Music Awards will stream live from Las Vegas at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT on OMusicAwards.com. Tune in to see who will reign supreme in categories like Most Viral Dance, Funniest Music Short and NSFW Music Video!

Usher, Ke$ha And More Help Dance Music Go Pop In 2010

But is it here to stay? Our music-industry experts weigh in.
By Akshay Bhansali

In 2010, pop princesses, R&B icons and chart-dominating newcomers all danced to the same beat. Not only did dance music go pop, but pop music caught the club-music bug.

Between Katy Perry's "Firework," Ke$ha's "We R Who We R," Rihanna's "Only Girl (In the World)," Enrique Iglesias' "I Like It," Usher's "DJ Got Us Fallin' in Love" and "OMG" and countless other singles, established artists definitely looked to dance beats for surefire hits. And two of this year's biggest success stories in music were Jason Derülo and Taio Cruz; could there be a soul left in this country who hasn't heard "Dynamite" or "In My Head"?

The love went both ways, with dance music's biggest stars finding mainstream success this year. Dance-music maestro deadmau5 took up house-artist duties at this year's VMAs, and Swedish House Mafia and Usher teamed up for a medley of their gems at the American Music Awards.

So how did this happen? We caught up with some music-industry experts to get their takes.

"You definitely saw tempos go up this year," Jon Caramanica of The New York Times told MTV News. "And I think what you had are a lot of producers who are really familiar with nightclub stuff. They are familiar with Europe. Things are happening on a more global scale now."

"I think everything from Europe, and sometimes even Asia, it comes to America, and we just adopt things a little bit slower," said Jared Eng of JustJared.com. "I think it was just a change. People like different types of music at different times. And dance was of this moment."

Noah Callahan of Complex magazine added: "I think 2010 saw the merging of the pop and dance genres. Pop artists realized that there were best practices that could be borrowed from dance music. And, ultimately, [all] pop music that has been made in the past 20 years had ended up being remixed for the club by dance artists. I think they basically just cut out the middleman and went straight there."

Dance music being introduced into the hip-hop and R&B realms was particularly notable this year.

"I think David Guetta kind of at the end of last year and the beginning of this year spearheaded it," said freelance writer Julianne Escobedo Shepherd. "He produced a lot of tracks. I think as trends go, people revile 'unst-unst.' But it's just coming back around. Big-room techno was a way for people to get decadent in a year that no one could get decadent."

"You have someone like will.i.am, who's like, 'Well, I spent all this time in Ibiza, and this is what they are doing,' and he wants to find a way to bring that into his music," Caramanica said of the Black Eyed Peas mastermind. "R&B especially became dance music. And especially with your Jason Derülos, Taio Cruzes. Guys like that would have literally been blocked at the border two years ago. That would not have made it through customs. And now all of a sudden they have #1 songs. I think will.i.am had a lot to do with that last year."

Elliott Wilson of RapRadar.com added: "It's actually even affected hip-hop. I was talking to Q-Tip, and his next record, I feel like that's gonna kind of go in that vein. I know that was also Jay-Z's thought process with Blueprint 3 at first, that he wanted to make a little bit more of a world music [vibe], a little more dancey. I think the kids today want to go to the clubs. They wanna have a good time. They wanna dance. So I think the artists of today are trying to kind of feed that audience."

"I think it's caught on this year because the people who've done it have been successful," offered Clover Hope of Vibe magazine. "Like 'OMG,' with usher, he didn't have success until he made a dance record. He had 'There Goes My Baby' and these really, like, adult-contemporary records that didn't really catch on. And then once you see that everybody is doing it and that people are liking it, they are like, 'OK, let me just try this out.' It's like Auto-Tune. Like, 'Let me see what I sound like on a record by David Guetta.' They end up liking it and doing more of it."

So does the club-music trend have staying power. According to our tastemakers, not so much.

"I do think it's a blip," Caramanica said. "I don't think that's gonna be something that lasts in America. I think this is gonna be a moment we'll all look back on and go, 'Wasn't that weird when Jason Derülo and Taio Cruz had #1 records?"

"At some point, these R&B artists will get kind of sick of it and be like, 'Let me go back to my soul background,' " Hope said. "When you actually have to say something, dance doesn't really lend itself to substance. And I think that R&B artists, they really want to talk about love and in a deep way, and to do that, you need to do, like, a soul or a traditional R&B record. I want to say that it's kind of a fad."

"I think music is very cyclical," Eng offered. "So I think dance music might be here for a little bit, but I'm sure it will phase out at some point."

Wilson called dance music "the sound of today. I think that people want more aggressive, faster beats, and I think that that probably has legs until at least next summer."

What do you think? Is dance music here to stay? Let us know in the comments!

'Thor' Star Chris Hemsworth Says There's 'Tension' In 'Avengers'

'You've got big egos on these superheroes,' he tells MTV News.

All of MTV News' recent interactions with Chris Hemsworth, a.k.a. the man about to grace movie screens as the God of Thunder in "Thor," have naturally been very focused on the highly anticipated film and all the nerdy details that come with portraying a comic book superhero.

We love everything "Thor," of course, but since the Norseman will also be appearing in the possibly even more anticipated and mysterious "Avengers" movie, we can't help but pester everyone in the high-profile cast about the film, which just started production.

So when we caught up with Hemsworth recently to expand on our ever-growing database of "Thor" information, we prodded the Aussie for some "Avengers" details. Although he couldn't give us much, he seemed excited that his onscreen brother Loki (played by Tom Hiddleston) will be joining him on set, as well as the potential for a superhero smackdown.

"[It's great] to have my brother there. Even if we don't get along," Hemsworth joked. "[Hiddleston] is fantastic. [He gave] an incredible, incredible performance in the film, and he's going to do the same in this one."

With regard to how all those superheroes will be interacting, particularly Tony Stark, Hemsworth said the environment will be tense.

"There's certainly some tension. You've got big egos on these superheroes," he said. "None of them want to be told what to do or form an alliance with these people who they don't understand anything about," he said. "In the comic books, you see that it's not an easy mix; that's definitely in [the movie]."

When asked if we'll see the ensemble cast (Samuel L. Jackson, Clark Gregg, Scarlett Johansson, Chris Evans, Robert Downey Jr., Mark Ruffalo, Jeremy Renner, Hemsworth and Hiddleston) come to blows, Hemsworth surprised us with an answer in the affirmative.

"Well, you'd want it, wouldn't you? Otherwise, why are we all there? I think it would be safe to say you can expect something like that," he said.

Check out everything we've got on "The Avengers."

Usher To Donate Gadhafi Money To Charity

'I will be donating all of my personal proceeds...to various human rights organizations,' singer says of concert linked to Libyan dictator.

R&B superstar Usher announced Friday (March 4) that he was donating to various charities proceeds from appearing at a private event at St. Barts linked to Libyan dictator Moammar Gadhafi, according to a statement made to the Associated Press.

The Grammy award winner's renouncement comes after similar announcements from singers Mariah Carey, Nelly Furtado, and Beyoncé, all of whom were revealed to have performed at private concerts linked to the Middle Eastern leader, who has faced open revolt and major political uprisings since February.

"I am sincerely troubled to learn about the circumstances surrounding the Nikki Beach St. Bart's event that took place on New Year's Eve 2009," Usher said of the concert, at which he appeared alongside Beyoncé but did not perform. "I will be donating all of my personal proceeds from that event to various human rights organizations."

Usher has already begun the process, having made a donation to Amnesty International, the AP reports. The exact size of the donation is not known.

The New Year's Eve gig was reportedly for Moammar's fourth son Muastassim, who an unnamed music industry source told MTV News has a history of throwing lavish parties "jammed" with supermodels.

Beyoncé, who sang at the event, donated all proceeds from her performance to the Clinton-Bush Haiti Fund, established in the wake of the Haitian earthquake.

"All monies paid to Beyoncé for her performance at a private party at Nikki Beach St. Barts on New Year's Eve 2009, including the commissions paid to her booking agency, were donated to the earthquake relief efforts for Haiti over a year ago," the "Halo" singer's publicist said in a statement to The Huffington Post. "Once it became known that the third-party promoter was linked to the Qaddafi family, the decision was made to put that payment to a good cause."

Singer Nelly Furtado tweeted February 28 that she plans to make similar amends.

"In 2007, I received 1million$ from the Gadhafi clan to perform a 45 min. show for guests at a hotel in Italy," she tweeted. "I am going to donate the $."

The leader of Libya since a successful military coup in 1969, Gadhafi has reportedly lost control of much of his country as a result of widespread uprisings. The United Nations voted unanimously to refer the dictator to the International Criminal Court for crimes against humanity.

Justin Bieber Passes Michael Jackson's Box-Office Record

'Justin Bieber: Never Say Never' has outgrossed MJ's 'This Is It' in U.S.

Michael Jackson may have dubbed himself the King of Pop, but the late icon didn't hold the box-office crown for long. Less than a year after the posthumous MJ documentary "This Is It" became the most successful concert-themed film in U.S. history, Justin Bieber is poised to snatch the mantle.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, "Justin Bieber: Never Say Never" has earned $72.2 million in domestic box office so far, passing Jackson's $72.1 million haul. And while Bieber has racked up those impressive numbers in just six weeks, he's got a long way to go before he laps the global receipts for the MJ doc.

"This Is It" has grossed $189.1 million overseas for a global total of $261.2 million. Music films don't typically play well overseas, and THR noted that "Never Say Never" has grossed a more modest $10.8 million overseas so far, with Paramount executives predicting that it could top out around $20 million internationally.

The impressive U.S. numbers were likely goosed by the re-release of the film recently with 40 additional minutes of bonus footage from director Jon M. Chu. Bieber still has a little way to go to climb the list of the top-grossing documentaries of all time. "Never Say Never" is currently stalled out at the #3 position, around $5 million behind "March of the Penguins," according to Box Office Mojo, and well short of the all-time record held by Michael Moore's "Fahrenheit 9/11," which has taken in $119.1 million to date.

Bieber set off a classic MJ-style fan frenzy a few weeks ago when he visited Liverpool, England, for his world tour. And just a week later, he posed with his new wax figure at London's Madame Tussauds, checking off another item on the list of milestones to an MJ-like career.

Kate Middleton Evening Gown: Simply Stunning

Having married Prince William earlier Friday in the wedding of the millennium, Kate Middleton changed into a stunning evening gown for the royal reception.

Like Kate Middleton's wedding dress, this gown looked nothing short of perfect for a duchess, and was custom designed by Sarah Burton of Alexander McQueen.

Burton said of her design experience: "Alexander McQueen's designs are all about bringing contrasts together to create startling and beautiful clothes."

We'd say that worked pretty well in this case, wouldn't you?
