Move over, Celine Dion: There's a new Vegas showgirl coming to town!
Shania Twain announced Wednesday that she will be moving to Sin City to perform at Caesars Colosseum for two years. The show begins in December 2010, and it will be the first time the country star has performed in seven years!
"I feel like I'm on top of the world," Twain said in a statement. "Honestly, I feel like I climbed a giant mountain. My whole career has been in competition. I'm not counting or anything, it takes too much energy. I'm just gonna get out there and do what I do."
Twain also promised that she's not about to let the pressures of a high-profile show get to her.
"The tour and radio industry is highly competitive," the 45-year-old star commented. "If you can survive that, you can survive Vegas."
We already know that Twain is one heck of a trooper. In May 2008 her husband of 14 years, Robert "Mutt" Lange left her for Twain's best friend. Heartbroken and devastated, she managed to bounce back and find love again with the ex-BFF's ex-husband! Twain and Swiss Nestle executive Frederic Thiebaud became engaged in late 2010 and married on New Year's Day 2011 in Puerto Rico.
Twain is all about new beginnings and we think Vegas is the perfect place for the singer to start fresh.
