Mariah Carey may be the biggest girly-girl in the world -- but the pregnant singer swears that, if she has a daughter, she will definitely not be dousing her in frilly little dresses from the get-go.
"I'm not going to impose pink on a girl," Carey said on Tuesday's The Ellen DeGeneres Show. "Do you think I'm really going to go that hard with it? That's how you get the exact opposite."
But the talk show host wasn't exactly buying what the singer was selling.
"When that baby comes out you're going to have high heels on it like immediately," Ellen DeGeneres teased Carey. "Little, tiny high heel shoes on that baby."
Carey and husband Nick Cannon say they have not found out the sex of their unborn baby and would really rather us all keep our speculation to ourselves.
"Can I guess the sex? Do you mind?" Degeneres asked.
"I would prefer not," Carey responded. "Because imagine if you're a baby inside someone's body. Do you really want someone imposing their sex ideas on you? Not really? I'm just saying. Would you want them to be like it's definitely a girl … would you?"
After months of baby-bump rumors, Carey and Cannon finally announced the news they were expecting last week. But, as thrilled as the singer is about becoming a first-time mom, she's not so keen on some of the side effects of pregnancy.
"I get a little nauseous," she says. "It's like a constant ugh."
