No Foul Play Suspected in Death of Former 'Bachelorette' Contestant Julien Hug

Julien Hug, one of the men who competed to win Jillian Harris' heart on her season of The Bachelorette, was found dead in the desert of Southern California on Wednesday. The 35-year-old disappeared Monday, on his way to help his family manage their restaurant.

"I am completely heartbroken for the Hug family, and my whole heart goes out to them today as they mourn a precious life that ended far too soon," Harris said in a statement. "It’s very difficult to find the words to express my condolences, but I will always remember Julien’s gentle demeanor and kind heart, which will be sadly missed."

Although an official cause of death is pending a coroner's investigation, authorities are "handling the incident as a death investigation where no foul play is suspected," a Riverside County Sheriff's Department told People.com.

Kiptyn Locke, who also competed on Harris' season called Hug "a thrill seeker. He was a sky diver, he did tons of jumps ... Everyone who knew him loved him, he old RadarOnline.com. "He is a guy who really enjoyed life."

He added: "He’s a good man, one who is going to be missed."
