Don't fret, Jennifer Lopez fans: The star is still working on new music, despite serving as judge on the forthcoming season of "American Idol." The singer, who has been working on her seventh studio album, Love?, has recently locked studio sessions with super-producer RedOne.

In a recent interview with BlackBook magazine, the man behind some of Lady Gaga's biggest songs spoke about working with the triple threat. "Musically, I'm trying to combine all the elements that makes her who she is," the producer said. "We connected, and it was easy to work together."

RedOne ("Just Dance" and "Bad Romance") also told the mag that Lopez knows exactly where she wants to go with her music, saying, "She's in another headspace. She's very positive and content. She knows what she wants to do."

While the producer/songwriter didn't reveal any other details about his sessions with Lopez, he did reveal that the two have recorded almost eight tracks. In addition to RedOne, the recently appointed "Idol" judge has also reportedly worked with Alex Da Kid and Danja.

In February, Love? suffered a major delay after Lopez parted ways with her longtime record label, Sony Music's Epic Records. Since then, a slew of tracks have made their way onto the Internet, including the recently leaked Rick Ross-assisted "Run the World" and a snippet of a song called "Good Hit." There's no word on when the LP is set to drop.

In the meantime, Lopez has become comfortable on the "Idol" panel and has already found some star potential in this season's singing contestants. "We've put a bunch of people through — probably more than they have in the past," Lopez said during a recent break from auditions. "We are confident that we have, I would say, 15 to 20 real superstars, I think. Really, really good people. ... That's a big word to use, but definitely people with a lot of talent who could be recording artists for sure."
